How to Upload Digital Signage (HD Student)

Overview

How a help desk student could upload a Digital Signage graphic to RiseVision.

Environment

If the help desk student who is in charge of handling the Digital Signage tickets needs a refresher, or if a new student is taking on the task.

Instructions

Log into RiseVision.com with your E-Town email.

 

Go into the ticket and look over the graphic to see if it is appropriate to post. Be sure to check for spelling errors, if the graphic has the correct dimensions (1920 x 1080 or 16:9), and if it has the correct file type (.jpg, .png or .mp4 (videos)). Let the client know if the graphic does not meet these conditions.

 

 

If the graphic meets all of the requirements, save it to your computer with the start and end date as the file name in this format:DDMM_DDMM-TitleOfSlide

 

Check off Mark Complete on the "Validate Submission" work flow task in the ticket.

 

 

Return to RiseVision , go into Storage and navigate to the Department/Student Group that the graphic is being submitted for. Clubs are classified as Student Groups.

 

 

Once you locate the folder, select Upload Files and upload the graphic from the ticket.

 

 

Go to Presentations and select Campus Rotation Playlist

 

 

To upload the graphic onto the rotation, navigate through Playlist > Add > Folder of Images & Videos > Select from Storage > (The folder you put the graphic into). Select it and click Add Selected

 

 

Navigate Back until you reach the Playlist section. Scroll until you find the graphic you submitted and click the timing next to it.

 

 

Under the Timeline header, select the hyperlinked date

 

 

Edit the Start Date and End Date dates to match the ones provided in the ticket by clicking the green calendar icon. Select Apply.

 

 

After double checking to make sure everything is correct, select Publish on the top right of the page.

 

 

Return to the ticket and select Mark Complete on "Upload Submission to Rise"

 

 

This will automatically close the ticket and notify the client that their signage has been uploaded.
